abstract Angular inclinations in height of the beginnings and ends of the coffer rings. The angles are measured from the centre of the best-fitting sphere in the middle of the cupola; blue dashes indicate the angles. This figure shows a longitudinal cross-section running from north to south. The inclination is quoted outside the goniometer in blue. The inner structure of the coffers, their asymmetric composition and placement inside the dome follows a refined construction plan, which will be described in Volume IV of this book series
